The Egypt international had failed to score in his last two Premier League games before the visit of Eddie Howe’s side this weekend.
Liverpool FC had dropped points in 1-1 stalemates with Leicester City and West Ham to open the door for Manchester City in the title race.
However, Salah and the rest of his Liverpool FC team-mates were back to their best on Saturday to secure a resounding victory.
Sadio Mane broke the deadlock with a close-range header before Georginio Wijnaldum produced a deft finish to double their lead.
The Egypt international put the result beyond doubt in the 48th minute with his 17th Premier League goal of the season.
Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino combined to create the space for Salah before the reigning PFA player of the year slotted past Artur Boruc.
Salah’s strike brought up his 20th goal in all competitions this season as he became the first player to score 20 times in consecutive seasons since Luis Suarez.
Speaking at his media conference about Salah’s goal record after their 3-0 victory, Klopp said:
“The record is really good, but the performance was brilliant. He was pretty much undefendable.
“It was an outstanding game; it was just exactly the football he is able to play and what we want him to play. Very, very involved in all the things, not only in the scoring moments, in the build-up situations as well. Sometimes dropping a bit, not really deep but in the half-spaces, staying wide and all that stuff.
“That’s exactly how he has to play and he did it in an outstanding manner.
“The goal he scored, I don’t think you’ll find a lot of players who do what Bobby did in that moment. Most of them would try to shoot and get blocked, but he did that little, little pass and then Mo is obviously a pretty cool finisher.”
The Reds will return to action with a home clash against Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 clash on Tuesday 19 February.
