Mo Salah talks up Roberto Firmino at Liverpool FC
Mohamed Salah is full of praise for Liverpool FC attacker Roberto Firmino
Mohamed Salah has revealed his respect for Roberto Firmino for the role he has played in the Liverpool FC team of late.
Firmino is widely regarded as one of European football’s top attacking talents and he has been one of the driving forces behind Liverpool FC’s Premier League title challenge this season.
The 27-year-old Brazil international has scored nine goals and made four assists in 26 Premier League games this season to help Jurgen Klopp’s men challenge Manchester City for the title.
Salah has struck up an impressive attacking partnership with Firmino and the Egypt international admits that he is a big fan of the Brazilian attacker.
Speaking in an interview with ESPN, Salah said: “He sits next to me in the game, dressing room.
“He doesn’t talk English much to the players. But we talk together maybe everyday. In the game I think we played together for one year. He gave me, I think, the most assists of the team and I gave him the same. We play close to each other, we know how to play.
“I think when football players play with each other they know how to play. It doesn’t matter about the language, it doesn’t matter how to talk to each other. But we know each other, we expect the movement from each other.”
Both Salah and Firmino will be hoping to feature when Liverpool FC return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon with a crunch clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
A win for Klopp’s men would move them three points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table as they chase their first major trophy under the German manager.
