Ole Gunnar Solskjaer opens up about Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool FC
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has his say on Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool FC manager
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has lavished praise on Jurgen Klopp for the impressive impact he has had since taking over at Liverpool FC.
The Reds have been in superb form in recent months and they came close to winning their first major trophy under Klopp last season when they reached the Champions League final, but ended up losing to Real Madrid in the showpiece.
Liverpool FC are firmly in the running to win the Premier League title race this season as they battle it out with Manchester City for the top-flight trophy.
Solskjaer himself is just getting used to life managing a top club in the Premier League after his appointment as Manchester United’s interim boss back in December.
And the Norwegian has been hugely impressed by what he has seen from Klopp at Liverpool FC since his appointment as Brendan Rodgers’ successor back in October 2015.
Speaking at a news conference on Friday before Liverpool FC’s trip to Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday, Solskjaer said: “Liverpool are a better team now than when Jurgen (Klopp) took over, he’s done a fantastic job.
“We’re behind them and they’re doing great but now we have to make sure we move up the table, we find our feet and get this club challenging again.
“I’ve got a few months here, I’m going to do whatever I can to make sure we finish as well as we can.”
Liverpool FC will return to Premier League action on Wednesday night when they host Watford in the top flight at Anfield.
They will then travel to Everton for the Merseyside derby on Sunday 3 March.
