Mark Lawrenson states his prediction for Liverpool FC v Watford

Mark Lawrenson is backing Liverpool FC to secure a much-needed win against Watford on Wednesday night.
The Merseyside outfit were held to a goalless draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford at the weekend.
Klopp’s side were unable to find a way past an injury-ravaged Manchester United to squander the chance to move three points clear of Manchester City.
Liverpool FC have failed to score in their last two games and their front three have produced surprisingly poor performances.
However, the German head coach will be hoping their clash against Watford will provide a springboard to get their title challenge back on track.
Liverpool FC have scored 20 times in their last six games against the Hornets, while the Merseyside outfit are unbeaten in their last seven meetings.
Former Liverpool FC defender Lawrenson is tipping Klopp’s side to secure a vital victory over Watford at Anfield on Wednesday night.
“I just wonder whether Reds boss Jurgen Klopp might change things here, and go with the 4-2-3-1 that he has used quite a bit recently,” Lawrenson told BBC Sport.
“That way, Xherdan Shaqiri comes in, Roberto Firmino drops deeper into the number 10 position and Salah goes through the middle as the centre-forward, rather than out wide.
“Shaqiri could be the player who gives Liverpool the boost they need, because he makes thing happen.
“This is a tricky week for the Reds, with the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park coming up on Sunday. What they really want ahead of that is a decent performance and a comfortable victory.
“I think they will get the win, but they are going to have work for it because Watford are on a good run and they will provide a serious test.”
Liverpool FC haven’t won the Premier League title but have finished in second place in 2002, 2009 and 2014.
The Merseyside outfit are still waiting to win their first trophy under the former Borussia Dortmund head coach.
Liverpool FC have won six of their last seven games against Watford since Klopp took over the reins in October 2015.
The Reds are in top spot and a point ahead of Manchester City.
