Manchester United and Arsenal have sent scouts to watch defender Ben Godfrey in action for Norwich, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that both of the Premier League sides are showing an interest in the 21-year-old defender ahead of the summer transfer window.
The same report states that Lyon and RB Leipzig are among the other clubs keeping a close eye on the youngster, who has been in solid form for the Canaries this season.
The story says that both Arsenal and Manchester United sent scouts to watch Godfrey in action in Sunday’s East Anglian derby as they continue to monitor his progress this season.
Ahead of Sunday’s game, Godfrey had made 15 appearances in the Championship and had scored one goal and made two assists for the Canaries.
According to the same story, Manchester United remain in the market to sign a new central defender, while Arsenal are also looking at Godfrey as Unai Emery looks to bolster his options at the back this summer.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently preparing for their crunch Champions League showdown against Paris Saint-Germain at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
