ESPN pundit predicts where Man United, Chelsea FC will finish
Shaka Hislop is tipping Man United to finish fourth in the Premier League ahead of Chelsea FC
Shaka Hislop is tipping Manchester United to finish in fourth place above Chelsea FC in the Premier League this season.
The Red Devils have been earning lots of praise for their solid performances since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over from Jose Mourinho as interim boss back in December.
Solskjaer has been tasked with steering Manchester United into the top four as he looks to guide the Red Devils to Champions League qualification.
Maurizio Sarri has the same intention at Chelsea FC as he looks to turn around his side’s recent dip in form as the Blues look to secure a top-four finish.
Chelsea FC missed out on Champions League qualification for this season after they finished in fifth place under Antonio Conte last term.
Now, former goalkeeper and ESPN pundit Hislop has confidently stated that he thinks Manchester United are the front-runners to secure fourth place in the Premier League table this season.
Speaking to ESPN, as quoted by the Daily Express, Hislop said: “I just feel United will get it [fourth place].
“The injuries this weekend aside, I still feel that they’re a team playing with a whole lot more confidence than Chelsea are.
“As much as Arsenal are there and thereabouts, I don’t see them finishing fourth, I have them down as fifth.
“I just think this Chelsea thing, we’ll know a whole lot about them with how they turn over this whole incident at the cup final.
“But not a lot for me to phone home about.”
Manchester United will return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon when they host Southampton at Old Trafford.
They will then travel to Paris for the return leg of their Champions League last 16 clash against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.
