Man United considering summer move to sign 19-year-old – report
Man United are interested in a potential move to sign Benfica starlet Joao Felix, say reports
Manchester United are among the clubs keen on signing Benfica starlet Joao Felix this summer after having sent a scout to watch him this week, according to reports in the British media.
The Independent is reporting that the Red Devils are thinking about making a summer move for the 19-year-old after having been impressed with his performance in the 5-1 win over Boavista this week.
Manchester United reportedly sent a scout to watch the teenager in action and they are now ready to join the race for the youngster’s signature.
However, the same story suggests that Manchester United could be set to face competition from some of Europe’s top clubs for the signature of Felix, with the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid both said to be interested.
Felix has been playing more as a striker recently despite starting out as a midfielder.
Meanwhile, Manchester United will be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon when they travel to Leicester City.
The Red Devils were held to a frustrating 2-2 draw by Burnley at Old Trafford on Tuesday night as they dropped their first points under interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Manchester United are currently sixth in the Premier League table and two points behind fourth-placed Arsenal.
