Gary Lineker took to social media to praise the job Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is doing at Manchester United after the goalless draw with Liverpool FC in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Norwegian has been earning lots of praise for the impact he has had at Old Trafford since taking over from Jose Mourinho on an interim basis back in December.

Manchester United are unbeaten in the Premier League since Solskjaer was appointed and they continued that record by holding Liverpool FC to a goalless draw on Sunday afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp’s men were unable to break down the well-organised Red Devils as Manchester United claimed a point to keep their hopes of finishing in the top four on track.

Manchester United dropped down into fifth place in the Premier League table after Arsenal were 2-0 winners over Southampton and leapfrogged them on Sunday.

However, England legend Lineker clearly feels that there is plenty for Manchester United fans to be positive about after Sunday’s result.

Lineker wrote on Twitter: “Another good audition by Solskjaer. Three key injuries in the first half challenging his decision making. Not a victory but a steadfast performance and the better chances to win the game.”

Manchester United will return to Premier League action on Wednesday night when they travel to Crystal Palace.

They will then take on Southampton at Old Trafford next Saturday afternoon.
