The Red Devils continued their brilliant form under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Saturday lunchtime at Craven Cottage as they claimed another three points to move up into fourth place in the Premier League table.
Paul Pogba netted the opener in the 14th minute before Anthony Martial doubled the visitors’ lead in the 23rd minute.
Pogba then wrapped up the three points when he dispatched his penalty in the 65th minute.
The result left Manchester United in fourth place in the Premier League table and one point ahead of Chelsea FC ahead of the Blues’ trip to Manchester City on Sunday.
Former Manchester United defender Ferdinand was clearly delighted by what he was seeing and took to social media during Saturday’s game.
After Martial netted United’s second, Ferdinand tweeted: “Wow… @AnthonyMartial 💥⚽️.”
Then, after Pogba scored his penalty, Ferdinand tweeted: “@ManUtd job done! ⬆️.”
And as the final whistle approached, the ex-England international wrote: “We got our UNITED BACK ❤️⚽️ @ManUtd.”
Manchester United will now turn their attentions towards their crunch Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night at Old Trafford in the last 16 first leg.
