Man United to rival Liverpool FC for 23-year-old Ligue 1 midfielder – report
Manchester United have entered the race to sign PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot on a free transfer in the summer, according to a report
Manchester United have become the latest Premier League team to show an interest in signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot, according to a report in Spain.
Spanish media outlet AS, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that the Red Devils are monitoring the 23-year-old’s situation at PSG.
The same article states that Rabiot is set to leave the Ligue 1 champions when his contract expires at the end of the 2018-19 Ligue 1 season.
According to the same story, Manchester United are looking to reinforce their midfield following Marouane Fellaini’s move to China in the January transfer window.
However, the 20-time English champions will face intense competition for his signature if Manchester United decide to launch a bid to sign Rabiot.
The Daily Mirror add that Arsenal, Liverpool FC and Tottenham Hotspur are all already interested in the France international.
Given Rabiot’s age and experience, the PSG midfielder is an attractive proposition for clubs looking to avail of free transfer market in the summer.
The Paris-born midfielder has scored 24 goals in 227 appearances in all competitions over the past seven seasons at Parc des Princes.
Rabiot has won four Ligue 1 titles, four Coupe de France crowns and five Coupe de la Ligue trophies during his spell at PSG.
The French midfielder turned down the chance to be put on France’s reserve list for the World Cup in Russia.
