Key Man United midfielder ready to sign new contract – report
Ander Herrera is ready to sign a new contract at Man United, according to reports
Ander Herrera is ready to commit his long-term future to Manchester United by signing a new contract with the Red Devils, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that the 29-year-old midfielder is prepared to sign a new deal with the Red Devils, and that the club are lining up a three-year contract to keep him at Old Trafford.
Herrera has been in superb form for Manchester United since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over from Jose Mourinho back in December and he was named as the man of the match in the Red Devils’ 2-0 win at Chelsea FC in the FA Cup on Monday night.
The same story says that Herrera is expected to sign a new contract on similar wages to his current £100,000-a-week deal, which is due to expire at the end of the season.
It is claimed in the same report that Herrera was considering his future but his turnaround in form since Solskjaer took over as interim boss at Old Trafford has prompted him to consider committing to the Red Devils.
Meanwhile, Herrera will be expecting to start for Manchester United when the Red Devils host Liverpool FC in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Sunday.
