Manchester United are ready to hand Marcus Rashford a new six-year contract, according to a report in England.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Red Devils are prepared to offer the England international a lucrative new deal to secure his long-term future.
The same article states that Rashford has already shown an interest in committing his future to the 20-time English champions.
According to the same story, Manchester United executive vice chairman Ed Woodward is confident that Rashford will put pen to paper in the next few seeks.
The Daily Mirror go on to suggest that the “breakthrough talks” could see Rashford commit his future to Manchester United until 2025.
Rashford has enjoyed a return to form since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over the reins from Jose Mourinho in December.
The England striker has netted six times in his last 12 games in all competitions to become a key player for the Manchester United interim manager.
Rashford has also contributed two assists to highlight his understanding with his Red Devils team-mates.
The Manchester United striker will be hoping to start against their bitter rivals Liverpool FC at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Red Devils are in fourth place in the Premier League table and a point ahead of Chelsea FC and Arsenal.
