Sadio Mane predicts Man United v Liverpool FC
Sadio Mane warns Liverpool FC that they are set for a big test against Manchester United on Sunday
Sadio Mane has warned his Liverpool FC team-mates that they are set for a “tough” game when they take on Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday.
Liverpool FC head into the game looking to continue their Premier League title push and knowing that a win would take them three points clear at the top of the table.
The Reds warmed up for the game with a frustrating goalless draw with Bayern Munich at Anfield in the Champions League last week.
Manchester United, meanwhile, were impressive 2-0 winners over Chelsea FC in the FA Cup fifth round at Stamford Bridge to book their place in the quarter-finals.
Liverpool FC are clearly in for a stern test of their Premier League title credentials when they travel to Old Trafford this weekend.
Mane admits that Manchester United’s form under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer makes them a force to be reckoned with, but he is confident that Jurgen Klopp’s men have what it takes to get all three points.
Speaking in an interview with Liverpool FC’s website, Mane said: “Of course, it is a dream of every single player to play in these kind of games – and of course, you want to win them.
“Everybody knows it is a derby and against United it is always tough, but we are confident and think we can do it. We are going to go there and try to do everything to win the game.
“It is different [for United] now. They have made changes, changed the manager and he is doing very well, winning almost every game. They are confident and so are we, so it’ll be a tough game and we will see what happens.
“Every single game now for us is very, very big. We know that, so let’s focus and take it game by game.”
Liverpool FC are still looking to win their first ever trophy under Klopp since his appointment in October 2015.
