Gary Neville reacts to Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Man United
Gary Neville has his say on Arsenal's 2-0 win over Man United in the Premier League on Sunday
Gary Neville admitted that Arsenal’s solid form in front of goal was the difference as the Gunners claimed a 2-0 win over Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday.
Manchester United headed into the game unbeaten in the Premier League under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and looking to keep their place in the top four.
However, Arsenal claimed all three points to move up into fourth place, two points ahead of the Red Devils and just one point behind third-placed Tottenham.
Granit Xhaka gave Arsenal the lead in the 12th minute when he fired past David De Gea.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang then made it 2-0 when he converted his penalty in the 69th minute as Arsenal made it nine home wins on the bounce in the Premier League.
Former Manchester United defender Neville admitted that the Red Devils started slowly and that Arsenal made them pay in front of goal.
Speaking during Sky Sports‘ coverage of the game, Neville said: “Both coaches approached the game with a positive mindset but Arsenal shaded it with the big moments in front of goal.
“Also, in that first half an hour, Manchester United weren’t anywhere near where they have been.”
Next up for Arsenal is their home clash against Rennes in the last 16 of the Europa League at The Emirates on Thursday night.
The Gunners lost the first leg 3-0 in France last week.
