Alexandre Lacazette is confident that Arsenal have what it takes to finish in the top four this season.

The north London side have been in good form in recent weeks and they currently find themselves fourth in the Premier League table and just a point behind third placed Tottenham heading into this weekend’s round of games.

Arsenal are looking to break back into the Champions League qualification spots for the first time in two seasons after missing out in Arsene Wenger’s final campaigns in charge.

The Gunners will return to Premier League action on Monday night when they host Newcastle United at The Emirates.

Lacazette feels that Arsenal have a good chance of finishing in the top four but admits that the Gunners do face a “difficult” task.

Speaking in an interview quoted by Metro, Lacazette said: “It’s going to be difficult [to finish in the top four] of course, but exciting as well.

“It’s been a good battle all season so we just want to win every single game and finish third or fourth. It will be good for us and our fans.”

The 27-year-old Lacazette has been in good form this season, scoring 12 goals and making seven assists in 29 Premier League games.

Arsenal will take on Napoli in the Europa League quarter-finals next month as they aim to reach the last four of Europe’s second-tier club competition.

The Europa League will offer the Gunners a fresh chance to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
