The Wales international established himself as one of the greatest players to have worn the Spurs shirt during his six seasons at the north London side.
Bale made a slow start to his Tottenham career but the 29-year-old was one of the Premier League’s best players during his final two seasons at Spurs.
The Southampton youth graduate scored 30 times in 69 games in the Premier League before his £80m move to Real Madrid in the 2013 summer transfer window.
Bale has been linked with a return to the Premier League over the 12 months or so, having won three Champions League titles and the La Liga crown at The Bernabeu.
Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have both been linked with a summer swoop to sign Bale at the end of the season.
However, Bale may have upset Spurs fans after the Wales international admitted that he enjoyed watching Arsenal during the Thierry Henry era as a kid.
Speaking to BT Sport holding an Henry shirt as the winger took part in the channel’s What I Wore series, Bale said:
“I used to watch Arsenal a lot and I really enjoyed watching people like (Thierry) Henry.
“I used to like watching Dennis Bergkamp as well. They had a great team – Tottenham fans won’t be happy that I am holding this!”
Bale won the 2013 PFA player of the year award after he scored 21 goals in 33 games in the Premier League.
