Gary Lineker took to social media to poke fun at Arsenal after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang missed a late penalty in Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Tottenham in the Premier League on Saturday.

The game looked to be heading towards a draw after Harry Kane cancelled out Aaron Ramsey’s opener from the penalty spot in the 74th minute.

However, Aubameyang had the chance to snatch the points from Arsenal when he stepped up to take his penalty late on.

But his effort was saved by Hugo Lloris, as Arsenal were forced to settle for a draw against their bitter local rivals.

England legend Lineker immediately took to social media after Aubameyang’s missed penalty, writing on Twitter: “Oooops.”

Earlier in the game, Lineker had also reacted to Ramsey’s opener, tweeting: “The sort of finish from @aaronramsey that could attract the attention of one of Europe’s big clubs.”

After the final whistle, Lineker added: “Good result for @SpursOfficial maintaining the clear gap between the two sides in the Premier League table.”

The result left Arsenal in fourth place in the Premier League table, but Manchester United can leapfrog them if they win against Southampton at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Tottenham, meanwhile, stay in third place and four points ahead of Unai Emery’s Gunners side.

The Gunners will return to Europa League action when they travel to Rennes in the first leg of their last 16 clash.
