Arsenal could be set to cash-in on both Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mesut Ozil this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that Mkhitaryan’s future at The Emirates is “in doubt” – and that the Gunners are also open to selling Ozil in the summer transfer window.

The same article claims that Arsenal are keen to reduce their wage bill this summer.

Ozil and Mkhitaryan, both 30, are two of the north London club’s highest earners. According to the same story, Ozil currently earns around £350,000 a week, while Mkhitaryan is on around £180,000 a week.

The same story claims that Arsenal boss Unai Emery feels that Mkhitaryan’s wages could be better spent elsewhere.

The article suggests that Arsenal could have a transfer budget of just £45m if the north London side fail to qualify for the Champions League for the third season running.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are currently preparing for their home clash against Newcastle United on Monday night when they take on the Magpies in front of their home fans.

The Gunners will head into this weekend’s round of games in fourth place in the table and just a point behind third-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
