Gary Lineker took to social media to praise Callum Hudson-Odoi for his performance in England’s 5-1 win over Montenegro.

Hudson-Odoi was handed his full England debut by Gareth Southgate on Monday as the Three Lions came from a goal down to seal a thumping win in their Euro 2020 qualifier.

The 18-year-old has struggled to hold down a spot in the Chelsea FC first team this season but he linked up with his Blues team-mate Ross Barkley for one of the goals on Monday night.

Hudson-Odoi will be hoping to be handed a more regular starting spot in the first team at Chelsea FC between now and the end of the season.

And England legend Lineker was clearly impressed by what he saw from the teenager in an England shirt on Monday night.

Lineker wrote on Twitter during the game: “The boy, Hudson-Odoi. Such joy.”

Hudson-Odoi will be hoping to feature for Chelsea FC when the Blues return to Premier League action on Sunday with a trip to Cardiff City.

The west London club are currently in sixth place in the Premier League table as they look to try and break back into the top four before the season is out to secure Champions League qualification.
