The 18-year-old has been in good form whenever called upon this season and he notched up a goal and an assist as the Blues claimed an impressive win to book their place in the Europa League quarter-finals.
Hudson-Odoi will be hoping to hold down more of a regular starting spot in the Chelsea FC team between now and the end of the season as he looks to continue to impress Maurizio Sarri.
The teenager has now scored four goals and made two assists in the Europa League this term, but he is yet to start a Premier League game, having only made five appearances from the bench.
And former England manager Hoddle has clearly been impressed by what he has seen from Hudson-Odoi in recent weeks as he reflected on his performance on Thursday night.
Speaking to BT Sport after Thursday’s game, Hoddle said: “I think he’s better on the left side, when Pedro came on he was better.
“He’s a finisher. He looks like he can play wide, all the best wide players they arrive as a centre-forward. He finishes.
“I think he’s going to be a goal-scorer as well, which is an added bonus when you’ve got a player out wide.”
He continued: “If you’re good enough you’re in [the starting line-up]. The lad has got talent.
“If he’s not going to get consistent football at Chelsea then he’s got to go somewhere else.
“Now is the time he needs consistency. We’ve got to see whether he can be consistent.
“We’ve got to see when he has a bad spell, can he come back. These are the learning curves as a youngster you need to go through.”
Hudson-Odoi will be hoping to be involved when Chelsea FC return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon with a tricky trip to Everton.
The west London side are currently sixth in the table as they aim to break back into the top four before the season is out.
