Hazard is widely regarded as one of European football’s top attacking talents and he has been in fine form this season, scoring 13 goals and making 11 assists in 28 Premier League games for Maurizio Sarri’s men.
There has been fresh speculation linking Hazard with a possible move to Real Madrid this summer after the Spanish club re-appointed Zinedine Zidane as their manager this week.
Hazard’s current contract at Chelsea FC is set to expire in the summer of 2020 and the fact that he will only have one year left on his deal this summer has only served to further heighten the speculation linking him with a move away.
However, Chelsea FC legend Drogba has insisted that he would love to see Hazard stay at Stamford Bridge and doesn’t see why the Belgian playmaker would have to leave.
Drogba is quoted as saying by The Daily Express: “Why should he leave? I think he can have this here in Chelsea.
“I had many opportunities to leave and I decided to stay to make my own story and win the Champions League here. I think he’s got a chance to make his own story.
“This club is still young and we need people like him to improve the quality in terms of Champions League trophies in the room, he can help us.
“I will be very happy if he stays here, but if he goes to Madrid, good luck to him.”
Hazard will be expecting to feature for Chelsea FC when they travel to Dynamo Kiev in the return leg of their Europa League last 16 clash on Thursday night.
Chelsea FC currently find themselves in sixth place in the Premier League table and three points adrift of the top four with a game in hand as the race for Champions League qualification hots up.
