Joe Cole singled out Pedro Rodriguez for special praise after he helped to fire Chelsea FC to an important 2-0 win over Tottenham in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

Pedro gave the home side the lead in the second half at Stamford Bridge, before Kieran Trippier’s own goal handed Chelsea FC all three points in front of their home fans.

The win was a welcome one for Chelsea FC, who bounced back from the disappointment of their League Cup final defeat at the hands of Manchester City at the weekend.

And Cole was full of praise for Pedro after he helped the Blues claim all three points to keep alive their hopes of finishing in the top four this season.

Speaking to BT Sport after the game, former Chelsea FC star Cole said: “Pedro was brilliant tonight.

“But not just the goal and going forward, helping out the full-back [Cesar] Azpilicueta and on the other side.

“And they [Chelsea] have done it despite taking the best player [Hazard] off and giving him a rest on 60 minutes.

“So it was just a great night all round.”

Chelsea FC will now switch their attentions back towards their trip to Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues are currently in sixth place in the Premier League table and three points behind Arsenal with a game in hand.

It remains to be seen whether Kepa Arrizabalaga will return to the starting line-up for Chelsea FC’s trip to Craven Cottage after he was dropped on Wednesday night.
