Zinedine Zidane has spoken with Eden Hazard about Real Madrid move – report
Zinedine Zidane has spoken to Eden Hazard about the possibility of a move to Real Madrid from Chelsea FC, say reports
Zinedine Zidane has already held talks with Eden Hazard about a possible move to Real Madrid from Chelsea FC this summer, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish outlet Sport, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the newly re-appointed Real Madrid boss has spoken to Hazard about a potential summer switch to the Bernabeu.
According to the same article, the transfer saga involving Hazard appears to be nearing its conclusion, and it would seem that the 28-year-old is closing in on a move to Real Madrid.
Hazard is widely regarded as one of European football’s top attacking talents but Chelsea FC have been struggling to find consistent form this season.
The Blues currently find themselves in sixth place in the Premier League table and facing an uphill battle to try and break back into the top four before the campaign is out.
Hazard is out of contract next summer, and that could force Chelsea FC into making a decision about his future this year.
The same article says that Hazard has been “flirting” with Real Madrid for years and that the Belgium international has already decided what he will do this summer.
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC will return to Premier League action on Sunday when they travel to Cardiff City looking to bounce back from their 2-0 loss to Everton last time out.
