Michael Owen is tipping Chelsea FC to ease to victory over Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday evening.

The Blues will have the opportunity to hoist themselves into fifth place ahead of Manchester United when they make the trip to Everton at the weekend.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will be in FA Cup action at the weekend to present Chelsea FC with the chance to make up some ground on their top-four rival.

Maurizio Sarri’s men have collected seven points from their last three Premier League games to kickstart their push for a Champions League spot.

Chelsea FC were held to a 1-1 draw with Wolves last weekend after victories over Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham in consecutive London derbies.

Former Liverpool FC striker Owen is backing Chelsea FC to win against Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.

“Everton have failed to score in their last five league games against Chelsea and I feel the West London side will return to the capital with all three points from a low-scoring game at Goodison,” Owen told BetVictor.

“Marco Silva has yet to beat a “big six” side since he took over the reins at Goodison and I feel the wait will continue despite Chelsea having a Europa League tie in Kiev on Thursday evening.”

Chelsea FC lost 2-0 to Manchester United in the FA Cup fifth round earlier this year to end their participation in the competition.

The Blues failed to qualify for the Champions League last term after Antonio Conte led the west London side to a fifth-placed finish.

Sarri missed out on the chance to get his hands on some silverware in his debut season at Stamford Bridge after Chelsea FC lost to Manchester City on penalties in the League Cup final last month.
