Jurgen Klopp salutes Fabinho after Liverpool FC form
Jurgen Klopp singles out Fabinho for special praise after his fine form for Liverpool FC of late
Jurgen Klopp has singled out Fabinho for special praise following his recent good form for Liverpool FC.
The Brazil international has been getting used to life in England after having signed for the Reds from AS Monaco in the summer transfer window last year.
Klopp took his time with using Fabinho in the early parts of the season as the German boss opted to gradually introduce him to the rigours of English football.
Fabinho has been in good form in recent weeks and he has been earning lots of praise for his solid performances for the Merseyside outfit as they continue to challenge for the title.
And speaking ahead of the Merseyside derby against Everton on Sunday, Klopp explained why he has been so pleased by Fabinho’s performances.
Klopp told Liverpool FC’s website: “He’s just feeling more natural in his position. He’s a very nice boy and a very smart boy as well. He wants to do everything right.
“But he did not need that as much as he maybe thought. Sometimes you leave the boys a little bit to adapt naturally to it and not give them so much information. Some things happen then.
“There were these moments when we’d say ‘OK, help him, go back to playing two in the centre’ because he was used to that.
“Now, it’s no problem for him if we play with three, five, six or seven, whatever in the centre. That’s exactly what we wanted. That’s where we are with Fabinho now and hopefully it stays like that.”
The 25-year-old has featured in 20 Premier League games for Liverpool FC so far this term.
Fabinho will be hoping to feature for Liverpool FC when they host Burnley at Anfield in their next Premier League game on Sunday afternoon.
Klopp is aiming to try and steer Liverpool FC to their first major trophy since his appointment at Anfield as Brendan Rodgers’ successor back in October 2015.
