Liverpool FC are interested in a move to sign Matthias Ginter from Borussia Monchengladbach, according to reports in Italy.
Italian website Calciomercato, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that the Reds are keeping an eye on Ginter with a view to a summer move.
According to the same report, Jurgen Klopp is a keen admirer of Ginter, after having worked with him during his time in charge of Borussia Dortmund.
Ginter has been a fairly regular fixture in the Mochengladbach team this season and he has scored one goal in 19 Bundesliga games so far this season.
The same article says that Klopp is not fully convinced about Joel Matip at Liverpool FC and is therefore considering a move to sign Ginter this summer.
Liverpool FC are likely to be linked with a host of new players this summer as the Reds look to add to their squad ahead of next season.
Meanwhile, they will look to get back to winning ways in the Premier League on Sunday lunchtime when they host Burnley at Anfield looking to get their title bid back on track.
Liverpool FC are still aiming to win their first major trophy under Klopp since his appointment back in 2015.
