Mohamed Salah outlines his targets for the season with Liverpool FC
Mohamed Salah says he would be willing to sacrifice his “dream” of winning the Champions League to win the Premier League with Liverpool FC this season.
The Reds are currently preparing for the second leg of their Champions League last 16 clash against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night after the goalless draw in the first leg at Anfield last month.
Liverpool FC are also eyeing a first Premier League title under Jurgen Klopp, and the Reds are currently second in the table and a point behind leaders Manchester City with eight games left to play.
The Merseyside outfit will be keen to progress in the Champions League on Wednesday night while also pushing Manchester City as closely as possible for the rest of the season.
Now, Salah has admitted that his personal dream is to win the Champions League, but he would willingly sacrifice that if Liverpool FC were to taste Premier League glory this term.
Speaking in an interview quoted by Sky Sports, Salah said: “I will be honest with you, the most prestigious competition for me is the (Champions League).
“But the dream for the entire city and the club is the league.
“So, I am happy to sacrifice my dream for their dream but if we win both that would great and this is what we are trying to do.”
Salah has been in top form for Liverpool FC once again this season, scoring 17 goals and making seven assists in 30 Premier League games for the Reds.
Liverpool FC are next in Premier League action when they travel to Fulham on Sunday afternoon.
