Liverpool FC starlet Bobby Adekanye has revealed that he is eager to leave Anfield in the summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old has struggled to break into the Liverpool FC team over the past season and a half despite being talked up as a big prospect at Anfield.

Liverpool FC were thought to have landed a coup when the Reds signed Adekanye from FC Barcelona in 2015.

Adekanye has been limited to nine appearances in Premier League 2 this season, scoring one goal and making two assists.

The African attacker has also netted two goals in four fixtures in Uefa Youth League.

The Daily Mirror claim that Adekanye has become disillusioned under Jurgen Klopp after the Liverpool FC manager failed to include the youngster in his squad for their pre-season tour last summer.

The Liverpool FC youngster is set to become a free agent in the summer when his current deal with the Merseyside outfit expires.

Speaking to Dutch website Voetbal Zone, Adekanye confirmed that he is hoping to secure a move away from Anfield in the summer:

“(Being left out of the pre-season tour to the US) was disappointing and it has contributed to the fact that I do not want to renew my contract.

”If they promise such things and it doesn’t happen, I don’t know what will happen if I sign for three years.

”That confidence is no longer there, even though I still greatly respect the club. I expected that I would get a chance at Liverpool sooner.

“I don’t think I appeared in (Klopp’s) plans. If so, I have to look for something else.”

The Nigerian attacker started his development at Eredivisie side Ajax before the striker moved to La Liga giants FC Barcelona.

Adekanye spent a year on loan at PSV before he returned to FC Barcelona in 2015 before he moved to Liverpool FC within a matter of months.
