German media outlet Bild, as quoted by The Sun, is reporting that the Reds are keeping a close eye on Hudson-Odoi’s situation at the west London outfit.
Bayern Munich failed with a number of bids to sign Hudson-Odoi in the January transfer window despite the winger’s apparent interest in a move.
Hudson-Odoi’s future at Chelsea FC is up in the air given that the 18-year-old has less than 18 months left to run on his current deal.
The same article states that Liverpool FC could capitalise on the uncertainty in the 2019 summer transfer window with a “sneaky” bid for the English forward.
According to the same story, Jurgen Klopp could face competition from his former club Borussia Dortmund, who are preparing for Jaden Sancho’s potential departure.
While Chelsea FC would be entitled to compensation if Hudson-Odoi leaves the west London side as a free agent in 2020, the Blues would miss out on a sizeable transfer fee.
Hudson-Odoi has scored five goals in 19 games in all competitions in the current campaign under Maurizio Sarri.
The England Under-19 international hasn’t started a Premier League game this season despite his promising performances in the cup competitions.
