Zinedine Zidane wants to bring Liverpool FC star to Real Madrid – report
New Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is interested in a deal to sign Liverpool FC winger Sadio Mane, according to a report
Zinedine Zidane wants Real Madrid to sign Liverpool FC winger Sadio Mane in the summer transfer window, according to a report in Spain.
Spanish media outlet Marca is reporting that the Real Madrid manager has identified the Senegal international as a potential signing ahead of the summer.
The same article states that Zidane will be given £250m to spend on new signings in the summer and the French coach is willing to invest a significant portion of that in Mane.
According to the same story, Liverpool FC value the former Southampton winger at around £73m after Mane signed a new long-term contract at Anfield last year.
The story goes on to suggest that Real Madrid’s interest in Mane could mean that Eden Hazard remains at Chelsea FC.
Mane has been Liverpool FC’s best player in recent months after an impressive return of nine goals in his last 10 games in all competitions.
The Senegal forward scored twice in Liverpool FC’s 3-1 victory over Bayern Munich in the second leg of their Champions League round of 16 clash at the Allianz Arena.
Mane scored and made an assist in the Merseyside outfit’s 2-1 win at Fulham in their last Premier League game before the international break.
The 26-year-old has netted 20 times in the Premier League and the Champions League this term.
