The Reds are currently leading the way at the top of the Premier League table as they look to try and win their first major trophy under Jurgen Klopp this season.
Liverpool FC sealed a 2-1 win at Fulham on Sunday to move two points clear of Manchester City, who have played a game less than Klopp’s men.
The Merseyside outfit will welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Anfield on Sunday 31 March as they look to try and keep up the momentum in the title race.
However, although Southampton legend Le Tissier is backing Liverpool to beat Spurs, he feels that Manchester City are likely to edge the Premier League title race this season.
Predicting the game against Spurs, Le Tissier told Sky Sports: “Liverpool catch Spurs at a good time and I would expect Liverpool to win that one.”
Looking ahead to the remaining key games in the title race, he continued: “I think the Saints game is one Liverpool drops points in, and that is not myself being biased.
“The win against Spurs will give them a massive lift and the way Ralph Hasenhuttl has got them playing is great.
“They took Man Utd all the way at Old Trafford and beat Arsenal and Spurs at home. They raise their game.”
On the forthcoming clash with Chelsea FC he added: “Chelsea are fizzling out and Liverpool will be too strong in that one.”
Liverpool FC will take on FC Porto in the quarter-finals of the Champions League next month as they bid to try and reach the last four for the second season running.
The Reds were beaten by Real Madrid in last season’s final back in May.
