Ander Herrera is keen to stay at Man United despite talk of potential interest from PSG, say reports
Ander Herrera is keen to stay at Manchester United despite talk of potential interest from Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Telegraph is reporting that the Spanish midfielder is keen to extend his stay at Old Trafford as the speculation about his future continues.
Herrera is out of contract at the end of the season and that has inevitably begun to prompt speculation that he could leave on a free transfer in the summer.
According to the same report, Paris Saint-Germain are monitoring Herrera’s situation at Old Trafford as he would be available on a free.
The same story goes on to say that Manchester United have so far refused to meet Herrera’s wage demands, despite talks having been ongoing since last summer.
The article says that Manchester United want to keep hold of Herrera, but they are reluctant to pay big wages to a player who will be 30 in August.
The same story also reports that Juan Mata has so far rejected Manchester United’s offer of a one-year extension. Mata too, is out of contract in the summer.
Meanwhile, Manchester United will return to Premier League action after the international break when they host Watford on Saturday.
