Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has declared that his Manchester United team are confident that they can go all the way and win the Champions League this season.

The Red Devils secured their place in the quarter-finals of Europe’s elite club competition on Wednesday night when they sealed a stunning 3-1 win at Paris Saint-Germain to progress on away goals.

Romelu Lukaku scored twice in the first half, and Marcus Rashford cooly slotted home his VAR-awarded penalty as Solskjaer’s men defied the odds and sealed their spot in the last eight.

Manchester United will now eagerly be waiting to see who they are pitted against in the quarter-finals, when the draw is made next Friday 15 March.

And Solskjaer feels that his team are confident that they can go all the way in this season’s competition.

Speaking to Manchester United’s website, Solskjaer said: “Of course, we fancy ourselves that we can go all the way but we just have to wait for the draw and take the game as it comes now.

“We’ve had loads of injuries and suspensions but maybe that was a good thing today.

“It was a fresh team with loads of energy and we knew we had to defend, be humble enough to work hard and we did that.”

Solskjaer has made an incredible impact since taking over from Jose Mourinho back in December.

The Red Devils have only lost one game and are unbeaten on the road in all competitions.

They now turn their attentions back towards Premier League affairs and their trip to Arsenal on Sunday afternoon as they look to keep their top-four bid on track.
