Man United prepared to let Alexis Sanchez leave on loan – report
Man United are prepared to let Alexis Sanchez leave on loan this summer, according to reports
Alexis Sanchez is not part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans at Manchester United and he could end up leaving Old Trafford on loan next season, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that the 30-year-old Chile international’s future at Old Trafford is in doubt following his patchy form for Manchester United.
Sanchez has struggled to make much of an impact at Old Trafford since his arrival at the club from Arsenal in the January transfer window last year.
The attacker is currently sidelined with an injury and it remains to be seen whether he will be able to force his way back into the first team before the season is out.
According to the same story, Solskjaer believes that Sanchez’s future “lies elsewhere”.
The article goes on to reveal that Manchester United know that they would struggle to be able to sell a player on Sanchez’s level of wages, believed to be around £25m a year.
For that reason, the article claims, Manchester United are willing to let Sanchez leave on loan next season in a bid to “tempt” other clubs into a move.
Meanwhile, Manchester United were beaten 2-0 by Sanchez’s former club Arsenal at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League.
