Man United star Ander Herrera replies when asked about PSG interest
The Manchester United midfielder replies to a question about interest from Paris Saint-Germain
Ander Herrera insists he is leaving transfer discussions to his agent after the Manchester United midfielder emerged as a potential target for Paris Saint-Germain.
The Spain international is set to become a free agent at the end of the Premier League season when the versatile midfielder’s contract expires at Old Trafford.
Herrera is yet to sign a new deal with the 20-time English champions to raise questions about his future at Old Trafford despite being a crowd favourite.
Interim Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is rumoured to be ready to overhaul the Red Devils squad in the summer following a mixed season.
The 29-year-old has been linked with a potential move to PSG in the summer on a free transfer, with reports suggesting Herrera could sign a deal worth £150,000 a week.
However, Herrera remained coy when quizzed about a potential move to the Ligue 1 champions in the summer transfer window.
“It is logical when you have three months of contract and there are stop selections,” Herrera told El Periodico, as quoted by Metro.
“I already knew something was going to come out. I take it as normal, I focus on playing football in the month-and-a-half that remains.
“The rest is left to my agent, both the possible renewal with United and if you talk to another club for my departure.”
Manchester United are in fifth place in the Premier League table and two points behind Arsenal ahead of their home clash against Watford at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils will take on La Liga giants FC Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals next month with a place in the last four against Liverpool FC or FC Porto up for grabs.
