Man United lead the race to sign 27-year-old La Liga striker – report
Man United are at the front of the queue to sign Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann, according to a report in Spain
Manchester United are the favourites to sign want-away Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann, according to a report in Spain.
Spanish media outlet Sport, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News, is reporting that the France international wants to leave Atletico Madrid in the summer.
The same article states that Griezmann has been weighing up his long-term future at los Rojiblancos following their Champions League exit at the hands of Juventus last week.
According to the same story, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are all interested in a potential swoop to sign the French striker.
Sport go on to claim that Griezmann is feeling disillusioned at Atletico following the recent departures of Uruguay international Diego Godin and compatriot Lucas Hernandez.
Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move to sign Griezmann in the past after the Red Devils were close to signing the French forward in the 2017 summer transfer window.
Griezmann flirted with the 20-time English champions for a number of months before the French forward seemingly had a change of heart and decided to sign a new deal at Atletico.
Manchester United supporters could be forgiven for adopting a skeptical approach to the latest wave of transfer speculation linking Griezmann with a move to Old Trafford.
