Manchester United have entered the race to sign Chelsea FC teenager Callum Hudson-Odoi in the summer, according to a report in England.

The Daily Mail is reporting that the Red Devils are interested in a potential swoop to sign the 18-year-old at the end of the Premier League season.

The same article states that Manchester United will face competition from their domestic rivals Liverpool FC, as well as Bundesliga duo Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

According to the same story, Hudson-Odoi is unlikely to sign a contract extension with Chelsea FC as things stand – and the England Under-19 international could become a free agent in 2020.

The Daily Mail article goes on to add that Bayern Munich will make a £30m offer for Hudson-Odoi in the summer to represent his decreasing value as his contract runs down at the west London side.

Manchester United will be looking to overhaul their ageing squad whether or not current interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains as manager in the long term.

The Red Devils will take on Spanish giants FC Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals after a 3-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg earlier this month.

Manchester United haven’t won the Premier League title since 2013 when Sir Alex Ferguson retired.
