Man United to rival PSG for £70m-rated 18-year-old – report
Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain will go head-to-head for the signature of Jadon Sancho, according to a report
Manchester United and Paris Saint-German are set to battle it out for the signing of Jadon Sancho, according to a report in England.
The Sun is reporting that both Manchester United and PSG have made contact with the Borussia Dortmund winger about a potential move in the summer transfer window.
The same article states that the two European giants are set to become involved in a “tug-of-war” to sign the former Manchester City midfielder.
According to the same story, Manchester United have already been quoted £70m by Dortmund for the England international.
Sancho has been a revelation in the Bundesliga this season following a return of eight goals and 12 assists in 25 games in the German top flight this term.
Borussia Dortmund signed Sancho from Manchester City in 2017 as the Camberwell-born forward looked to secure first-team experience at a top European club.
Remarkably, the Westfalenstadion outfit paid a mere £8m to sign Sancho from the defending Premier League champions.
If Manchester United or PSG spend £80m on Sancho, the Bundesliga title challengers stand to make a £72m profit on the English teenager.
Sancho has scored one goal and has made one assist in seven games in the Champions League before Dortmund’s 4-0 aggregate loss to Tottenham Hotspur in the round of 16.
