Man United will be offered top Serie A striker in Lukaku swap deal – report
Inter Milan will offer Mauro Icardi to Manchester United in exchange for Romelu Lukaku, according to a report
Manchester United will be presented with the chance to sign Mauro Icardi in exchange for Romelu Lukaku in the summer, according to a report in England.
The Daily Express is reporting that Inter Milan are eager to bring the Belgium international to the San Siro following a fallout with their captain Icardi.
The same article states that the Serie A outfit have become increasingly frustrated with Icardi during protracted negotiations with the Argentina international.
According to the same story, Icardi will be available for £90m for two weeks in July before a clause in his current deal ends.
The Daily Express adds that Inter are keen to wrestle back control of the situation and would rather offload Icardi to Manchester United than an Italian club.
Icardi has a brilliant record at the Nerazzurri during his six seasons at the San Siro outfit following a move from Palermo in 2013.
The South American forward has netted 122 goals in 240 games in all competitions since the start of the 2013-14 season.
Icardi has received eight international caps but has been overlooked by his national team throughout most of his Argentina career so far.
Manchester United were 3-2 winners against Southampton on Saturday afternoon after Lukaku scored twice in the five-goal thriller at Old Trafford.
