Real Madrid star Thibaut Courtois ‘snubs’ Man United transfer – report
Thibaut Courtous has turned down the chance to move to Man United in a swap deal that would see David De Gea join Real Madrid, according to a report
Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has rejected the chance to move to Manchester United this summer, according to a report in England.
The Sun is reporting that the Spanish side were hoping to use Courtois in a potential deal to sign Spain number one David De Gea.
The same article states that Manchester United and Real Madrid have held talks about De Gea.
According to the same story, discussions between the two clubs are thought to have resulted in the proposal of a potential swap deal involving Courtois and De Gea.
However, the Sun goes on to add that the Belgium international has told Real Madrid that he would rather move to Paris Saint-Germain than Manchester United.
Courtois has struggled to recreate his impressive Chelsea FC form since his move to Real Madrid in a cut-price deal last summer.
New Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane dropped Courtois in favour of Keylor Navas last weekend to fuel speculation surrounding the Belgian goalkeeper’s future.
Manchester United will be looking to return to winning ways after the international break when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side host Watford on Saturday 30 March.
The Red Devils have lost to Arsenal and Wolves in their last two outings to suffer successive defeats for the first time under the Norwegian boss.
