talkSPORT is claiming that there is a “very strong possibility” that the Denmark international will move to the Bernabeu at the end of the campaign as the Spanish club look to rebuild under Zinedine Zidane.
Eriksen’s current contract at White Hart Lane is due to expire at the end of next season, and that could mean that Spurs move to sell him this summer rather than risk losing him for nothing in 2020.
The 27-year-old playmaker is widely regarded as one of the finest attacking talents in European football, and he has scored seven goals and made 11 assists in all competitions for Spurs so far this season.
The same story says that recent speculation linking Real Madrid with moves to sign Harry Kane and Sadio Mane are not as realistic as a potential swoop for Eriksen.
Real Madrid are likely to be linked with a host of players in the coming months as they look to bolster their squad this summer.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur will return to Premier League action after the international break when they take on Liverpool FC at Anfield on Sunday 31 March.
