Rivaldo offers Real Madrid advice to Chelsea FC star Eden Hazard
Rivaldo urges Eden Hazard to consider a move to Real Madrid from Chelsea FC this summer
Rivaldo has urged Eden Hazard to seek a move from Chelsea FC to Real Madrid this summer.
Hazard’s situation at Chelsea FC has been a relentless source of speculation in recent months and he has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid in the past.
The 28-year-old’s current contract at Stamford Bridge is set to expire at the end of next season, and that means that Chelsea FC risk losing him on a free transfer next summer.
Hazard’s future is likely to be an intense source of speculation this summer, especially if Chelsea FC miss out on a top-four finish in the Premier League.
Now, former FC Barcelona star Rivaldo has suggested that Hazard would be a perfect signing for Real Madrid this summer.
Speaking in an interview quoted by Metro, Rivaldo said: “Hazard could be more than just a great player at Madrid.
“Eden Hazard would be a perfect signing for Real Madrid, not only for his talents as a player, but also as a leader.
“He led the Belgian team at the World Cup and does the same currently at Chelsea.
“He already has the experience and know-how of taking responsibility on his own and could be an important piece in this transition phase the club is in after Ronaldo’s departure.
“He, as well as other new players that be signed before the new season starts, could put Real Madrid back to winning ways in Europe and Spain, battling for titles with Barcelona and other big clubs.”
Hazard will be expecting to feature for Chelsea FC when the Blues return to Premier League action on Sunday with a trip to Cardiff City.
The Blues are aiming to bounce back from the disappointment of their 2-0 loss to Everton in the Premier League last time out.
Maurizio Sarri is aiming to steer the Blues back into the top four after they finished fifth under Antonio Conte last season.
