Harry Redknapp is tipping Tottenham Hotspur to finish in third place in the Premier League table this season.

The Lilywhites have suffered a dramatic drop in form in recent weeks to allow the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United to move closer to Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Spurs have lost three and drawn one of their last five Premier League games to leave them in third place in the table and just a point ahead of Arsenal with eight games left to play.

Tottenham will be aiming to try and turn their form around between now and the end of the season as they look to try and secure a third-placed finish under Pochettino.

And former Spurs boss Redknapp seems to be confident that the north London side will indeed be able to finish third this season.

Redknapp said in an interview with the Daily Express: “Tottenham are bang in there still, hopefully they can finish third.”

Redknapp also went on to state his belief that both Pochettino and key striker Harry Kane should remain at White Hart Lane beyond this summer.

He continued: “Oh yeah [Pochettino] will stay with Spurs, he’s at a great big club. New stadium, great players and a great training ground.

“What more could you you want?”

“And Harry Kane. Absolutely, Harry will be at Spurs for years to come, no danger.”

Tottenham will return to Premier League action after the international break when they take on Liverpool FC at Anfield on Sunday 31 March.
