BBC Sport pundit states his prediction for Wolves v Man United
Mark Lawrenson is backing Man United to claim a 2-0 win over Wolves in the FA Cup
Mark Lawrenson is tipping Manchester United to claim a 2-0 win over Wolves and seal their spot in the FA Cup semi-finals on Saturday night.
The Red Devils are currently preparing for their clash against Wolves at Molineux as they look to bounce back from their disappointing loss to Arsenal in the Premier League last weekend.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men suffered a 2-0 defeat by the Gunners at The Emirates last Sunday to hamper their hopes of finishing in the top four this season.
Meanwhile, Wolves were in impressive form as they managed to earn a 1-1 draw with Chelsea FC at Stamford Bridge last weekend.
And former Liverpool FC star Lawrenson is backing Manchester United to claim victory and seal their spot in the FA Cup semi-finals on Saturday.
Writing in his column for BBC Sport, Lawrenson said: “United lost their first league game under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last week but, with the chances they had, they should have beaten Arsenal.
“Solskjaer’s side actually played really well, and if they can repeat that performance then it should put them in the semi-finals.
“Wolves have already beaten Liverpool under the lights in the FA Cup, in round three, but Jurgen Klopp made a lot of changes for that game, and I don’t see Solskjaer doing the same.”
Manchester United are looking to win the FA Cup this season as Solskjaer aims to steer the Red Devils to some silverware this season.
The Red Devils – who finished second in the Premier League last term – have been in solid form since Solskjaer was brought in as the club’s interim boss following the sacking of Jose Mourinho back in December.
