Maurizio Sarri has admitted that he is “not happy” that Arsenal knocked Napoli out of the Europa League.

The Gunners claimed a 1-0 win over the Serie A side on Thursday night thanks to Alexandre Lacazette’s first-half goal to secure their place in the semi-finals and wrap up a 3-0 aggregate win.

Chelsea FC also secured their place in the Europa League semi-finals against Frankfurt and they will face wither Arsenal or Valencia in the final in May.

Sarri left Napoli to take over at Chelsea FC last July, and the Blues boss has admitted that he would have loved to have the possibility to come up against his former employers in the final.

Speaking in an interview quoted by Metro, Sarri said: “I’m not happy that Napoli are out because, if the final is Chelsea v Napoli, I’m sure at the end of the match I’d be really happy.

“This time I don’t want to play the final; I want to win the final.

“To win the competition it’ll be very difficult. Eintracht are a great team with a wonderful striker in Luka Jovic.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea FC are also battling Arsenal for a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.

The Blues are fifth in the Premier League table as they prepare for their home clash against Burnley on Monday night.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are fourth in the top-flight table as they prepare to welcome Crystal Palace to The Emirates on Sunday and continue their push towards Champions League qualification.

Chelsea FC finished fifth ahead of Arsenal in sixth place last season.
