Michael Keane has insisted that he isn’t paying any attention to transfer speculation surrounding his future at Everton.

The England international has managed to find some good form in an Everton shirt this season, having initially struggled after his move to Goodison Park from Burnley in 2017.

Everton boss Marco Silva has helped to get the best out of the 26-year-old defender in the current campaign to prompt transfer gossip around his next move.

Keane has been linked with a move to north London, with both Arsenal and Tottenham reportedly interested in the England defender ahead of the summer transfer window.

Arsenal will likely need to bolster their defence, with Unai Emery’s side continuing to leak goals, while Tottenham could lose Belgian defender Toby Alderweireld this summer.

However, Everton star Keane isn’t paying any attention to the transfer speculation despite the potential lure of Champions League football next season.

“It’s just something you don’t really think about to be honest. I didn’t really think about it when I was at Burnley,” Keane is quoted as saying by the Daily Star.

“You just have to focus on whoever you are playing for and giving your best every day in every game. That’s what I’ve always done and what I will always do.

“I can only express how happy I am at Everton now and how great the fans have been with me – especially this year – and everyone at the club.

“I’m really happy here and I don’t let things like that turn my head. I think if you let things like that affect you, there will be a lot of games you’re going into where you wouldn’t feel 100 per cent.

“You just have to learn to put them at the back of your mind and be able to focus on the game no matter what – and that’s what I’ll be trying to do.”

Manchester United sold Keane to Burnley in January 2015 during Louis van Gaal’s spell in charge.

Keane impressed during three seasons at Burnley to earn a move up the Premier League ladder to Everton.

The former Manchester United defender has scored two goals in all competitions during his two seasons at Goodison Park.

Keane has also netted one goal in seven games for the England national team.
