Arsenal could make a late attempt to sign Ander Herrera on a free transfer from Manchester United this summer, according to reports in France.
French outlet L’Equipe, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Gunners are potentially interested in a move to bring Herrera to The Emirates this summer.
Herrera’s current contract at Old Trafford is due to expire at the end of the season, and as things stand, he will be leaving the club on a free transfer in the summer.
According to the same story, Paris Saint-Germain are keen to sign Herrera this summer, and they have offered him a three-year contract worth £180,000 a week.
However, it is also claimed in the same article that Arsenal have also potentially now joined the hunt to sign the 29-year-old this summer.
The same article claims that Herrera has made his mind up to leave Old Trafford this summer.
The Spaniard has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot in the Manchester United team this season, and he has scored two goals and made three assists in 20 Premier League games this term.
He will be hoping to feature when Manchester United host West Ham United in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Saturday night.
