Arsenal sent scouts to Turin to watch David Neres help Ajax beat Juventus on Tuesday night, according to a report in England.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the Gunners are interested in a deal to sign Brazil international following his impressive performances this season.
The same article states that Arsenal are considering a move to sign Neres but the north London side are wary of the Brazilian winger’s “escalating price”.
According to the same story, Unai Emery’s side will face competition from Premier League rivals Everton, Liverpool FC and Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
Jurgen Klopp is hoping to add more depth up front to his squad for the 2019-20 season, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is thought to be keen to ensure their is more width in his team next term.
The Daily Mail add that Neres is eager to complete a move to the Premier League following two and a half seasons in Amsterdam.
Neres has scored eight goals and has made eight assists in 27 games in the Dutch top flight this term.
The South American forward has also got Champions League experience under his belt in the current campaign after a return of two goals and two assists in 10 games.
Neres moved to Dutch giants Ajax in a €12m deal from Brazilian club Sao Paulo in the 2017 January transfer window.
