Michael Owen is tipping Arsenal to edge past Crystal Palace in a high-scoring game at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners have enjoyed a good week on two different fronts to build some momentum heading into the final stretch of the Premier League season.

Arsenal surprised some of their detractors with a narrow 1-0 victory over FA Cup finalists Watford at Vicarage Road on Monday night.

The Gunners followed up their triumph in the Premier League with an impressive 1-0 win against Napoli in Naples to progress to the Europa League semi-finals.

Arsenal are in fourth spot in the Premier League table but could be demoted to fifth position if Manchester United manage to beat Everton in Sunday’s early kick-off.

Former Liverpool FC striker Owen believes that Arsenal will finish the weekend in fourth spot after tipping the Gunners to beat Crystal Palace on Sunday.

“Arsenal faced a very difficult trip to Naples on Thursday, but I feel they will pick up maximum points against Palace and gain an 11th successive home league win on Sunday – a record for the club in top-flight football,” Owen told BetVictor.

“Palace have picked up more points on the road (23 of 39) than they have at Selhurst Park so far this term and although they do have pace and power on the break, I feel the Gunners will continue their excellent recent home league run.”

Arsenal are looking to secure a top-four finish for the first time in two seasons after failing to do so under Arsene Wenger before his exit last summer.

The Gunners will take on Emery’s former side Valencia in the Europa League semi-finals.

Arsenal managed to reach the same stage of the competition last term before a 2-1 loss to Atletico Madrid cost the Gunners a place in the Europa League showpiece.
