Jamie Carragher appeared to describe Eden Hazard as the Premier League’s best player after his wonder goal in a 2-0 win against West Ham on Monday night.

Chelsea FC welcomed the east London side to Stamford Bridge knowing that a win would hoist Maurizio Sarri’s side into third spot in the table.

Hazard had scored two goals in his last four Premier League games ahead of the visit of the Hammers to help the Blues put the top four under pressure.

The Belgium international broke the deadlock with a superb wonder goal in the 24th minute that earned Hazard rave reviews on social media.

Hazard managed to beat four West Ham players before the Chelsea FC number 10 scored his 15th goal in 31 games in the Premier League this term.

The 28-year-old doubled his tally in the final minute of normal time with a close range finish to cap one of the best individual performances in the Premier League this term.

Former Liverpool FC defender Carragher lavished praise on Hazard for his brilliant first-half goal.

Carragher wrote on Twitter: “Wow! Hazard!! 1-0”

The Sky Sports pundit went on to suggest that Hazard is the division’s best player.

Carragher wrote: “Hazard best player in @premierleague discuss after the game! @SkySportsMNF”

Hazard has been linked with a move to Real Madrid over the past few months.
